My Walmart Purchases Tonight
As I was loading my cart @ Wal-Mart I started feeling self conscious. What will people think if they see what I have in my cart. Probably something like, Well there goes a girl who's gonna die @ thirty-five because she doesn't know the meaning of the words healthy living. So I found myself avoiding eye contact with my fellow shoppers & quickening my pace to get out of there as fast as I could.
As I was headed for the check out I realized that the cashier was going to see every single one of my purchases up close & personal. Why didn't I just throw some fruits & veggies in my cart to make things look a little more balanced? Oh well, there was a free line & I wasn't passing that up. I turned in and started unloading my cart. My paranoia kept increasing until finally I blurted out,
"I usually don't buy this much junk food, but we're going on vacation tomorrow & I figured why not overindulge on the things we never eat."
Lame, I know but it did make me feel better, whether the lady believed me or not. I felt justified with my purchases & left Wal-Mart thankful my shopping was done, and starting tomorrow, we will most definitely eat way more calories than necessary...but hey, isn't that what vacations are all about?! Gatlinburg, here we come!!
:)
